The Shakespeare Galaxy SPR5239 does not have a fixed distance range, as its operational range depends on the connected cellular booster, router, signal environment, and local cell tower distance.
No, it cannot locate and receive WiFi from 1 kilometer away. The 360-degree circle design trades long-distance reach for broad, all-around coverage.
It provides a 3 to 4 dB gain, which is only strong enough for nearby cell towers or close marine hotspots.
Reaching 1 km requires high-gain directional antennas or a dedicated point-to-point wireless bridge kit. Any trees, buildings, or land masses between the two points will completely block a standard 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi signal over that distance
