If your refrigerator is actually the Norcold N841, the 693299 is not the correct cooling unit.
The confusion comes from the similar model numbers:
If you're able to email us at info@hitchweb.com with the complete model number from the refrigerator label (for example, N841IM, N841.3, etc.) and preferably the serial number, we can track down the correct replacement cooling unit for your N841 and see whether there's a modern replacement cooling unit that fits without replacing the refrigerator.
The confusion comes from the similar model numbers:
- N841 = Older older 8-cu-ft Norcold N8xx-series refrigerator.
- 693299 is specified for the N8V, N8X, N8LX and certain N10/NA10 Polar-series refrigerators, not the original N841.
- Norcold's parts documentation identifies 693299 for N8V, while the N841 isn't included in that compatibility table.
- The N841 belongs to the older N840/N841 family, for which the original service documentation dates back to the earlier N-series design.
