You should be able to mount the GlowStep Revolution beneath an aluminum porch, provided the porch structure is strong enough to support the mounting bracket and the weight of the user. The mounting frame simply needs to be securely bolted to a rigid structure with adequate clearance for the steps to fold and stow.
For a porch that is approximately 41" from the ground to the walking surface, we would actually recommend the 5-step model, rather than the 4-step you're viewing.
- 4-Step (A8004): Designed for entry heights of approximately 32.5" to 40".
- 5-Step (A8005): Designed for entry heights of approximately 39.5" to 48", making it the better match for your 41" height.
The GlowStep Revolution also offers several height adjustment positions and adjustable landing gear, allowing you to fine-tune the step rise for uneven campsites.
If your aluminum porch has a solid mounting surface underneath and at least 27.5" of mounting width (for this model), the installation should work well. We'd just recommend verifying there is enough clearance under the porch for the folded step assembly to store without interfering with any supports or accessories.
