The Minn Kota Ulterra (Part #1358971) with a 60" shaft requires two 12-volt deep-cycle marine batteries wired in series to provide 24 volts. The 80 lb thrust Ulterra is a 24V motor.
For best performance, Minn Kota recommends:
- 2 × 12V deep-cycle marine batteries
- At least 110 Ah each (or a minimum of 180 minutes reserve capacity if Ah isn't listed)
- Flooded, AGM, Gel, or compatible lithium batteries may be used, but starting batteries are not recommended.
