Thanks for pointing that out. The dimensions can definitely look confusing at first glance.
The ADCO 3016 is the correct cover for the Dometic/Duo-Therm Penguin I & Penguin II low-profile air conditioners. The reason the cover dimensions appear smaller is that ADCO measures the cover differently than the A/C shroud dimensions. The cover is made from flexible vinyl with an elastic/parachute-style drawcord that wraps around the base of the shroud, so it is intentionally sized smaller than the maximum outside dimensions of the air conditioner.
For reference:
- Penguin II shroud dimensions: approximately 40.5" × 29" × 10.5" (some aftermarket replacement shrouds measure up to 42" × 29" × 7.5" depending on where they're measured).
- ADCO 3016 cover: 39" L × 25" W × 11" H, designed specifically by ADCO to fit Penguin I & II low-profile units.
So despite the published dimensions looking smaller, ADCO 3016 is the manufacturer-recommended size for Penguin I and Penguin II air conditioners and should fit.
