A flashing green light on the MTI Safe-T-Alert 35-742-BL LP Gas/CO Detector typically means the detector is in its warm-up period after power has been applied or restored. During this time, the sensor is stabilizing and is not yet fully monitoring for carbon monoxide. After approximately 10 minutes, the green light should become solid to indicate normal operation.
If the green light continues flashing beyond 10 minutes, it would be helpful to know:
- Is the detector making any beeps?
- Was power to the RV recently disconnected or was the battery replaced?
- Is the detector new, or has it been installed for several years?
The above details will help determine whether it's a power issue, a fault, or simply the normal startup sequence.
