The AXLA 703022 is a 2-5/16" adjustable channel-mount coupler rated at approximately 14,500 lb GTW. Based on available manufacturer information, it is designed to mount into a 3" adjustable coupler channel/holder using a dual-bolt arrangement.
While Axletek does not publish a detailed dimensional drawing that we currently have access to, adjustable couplers in this class typically use:
- 3" wide channel bracket
- 2" vertical hole spacing (center-to-center)
- Dual-bolt channel mounting
- Fits a 2-5/16" hitch ball
- Approx. 14,500 lb capacity
For your application, if your current setup is a 2" ball mounted to 3" HSS tubing, this coupler could be a good upgrade provided you can weld or bolt on a compatible 3" adjustable channel bracket to the tubing. The critical dimension to confirm is the outside dimension of your HSS tube and whether you intend to mount an adjustable channel directly to it or replace the existing coupler arrangement entirely.
