Based on Carefree of Colorado's supersession information, R001252 is the direct replacement for the older R001099 gas shock, and it is used on Travel'r and Eclipse awning arms.
However, we could not find any manufacturer documentation showing that 032227-001 supersedes directly to R001252. The available Carefree documentation identifies R001252 as a 42.5" gas shock for Travel'r (flat pitch and adjustable pitch) and Eclipse awnings.
To confirm whether 032227-001 can be replaced with the R001252, any of the following could help:
- The awning model (Travel'r, Eclipse, etc.)
- A photo of the label on the existing gas spring
- The manufacturer of the awning (Carefree, Dometic, Solera, etc.)
If you're replacing a Carefree Travel'r awning gas shock, there is a good chance R001252 is the correct replacement.
