From what we found, the four additional bolts should be used. They are part of the mounting system that secures the adapter to the king pin box and are included with the adapter for proper installation. The adapter is not intended to be used with only the king pin/quick adapter connection, even if you remove it between uses. For safety and to maintain the product's rated capacity, we recommend installing all supplied hardware according to the manufacturer's instructions.
