I've included here the complete install instructions, but here's the install in summary:
Installation Summary
- Estimated install time: 1.5–3 hours
- Vehicle fitment: Universal
- Required tools: Screwdrivers, panel removal tools, socket set, wire strippers/cutters, electrical tape, zip ties, and wrenches.
Main Installation Steps
- Mount the Radar Sensors
- Install the two radar sensors behind the rear bumper at approximately a 45° angle from the rear of the vehicle.
- Sensors should face inward toward each other with the connector plugs pointing inward.
- Recommended elevation angle is 1–3° upward.
- Route the Main Harness
- The wiring harness is designed to run along the passenger side of the vehicle.
- Secure wiring using zip ties and avoid moving or hot components.
- Connect Vehicle Wiring
- Connect:
- Red wire → 12V ignition/accessory power
- Black wire → chassis ground
- Pink wire → left turn signal
- Orange wire → right turn signal
- Green wire → reverse signal (required for cross-traffic alerts)
- The yellow CAN wires are not used.
- Connect:
- Install HMI Warning Lights & Buzzer
- Remove driver and passenger A-pillar covers.
- Drill a 12mm (1/2”) hole in each A-pillar trim panel for the LED indicators.
- Install the left/right HMIs and reconnect trim panels.
- Mount the buzzer in a hidden but audible location.
- Test System Operation
- Verify blind spot detection works above 18 MPH.
- Confirm cross-traffic alerts function when the vehicle is in reverse.
- Check that LED indicators and buzzer activate correctly.
Important Notes
- Sensor positioning and angle are critical for proper operation.
- Avoid mounting behind multiple plastic layers or near metal obstructions.
- If alerts are inaccurate, recheck sensor alignment and wiring orientation.
