Tools Required
- 10mm socket
- 14mm socket
- 22mm socket
- Torque wrench / torque adapter
- Rotary tool with cut-off wheel (for trimming panel)
Main Installation Steps
1. Remove Rear Underbody Panel
- Remove:
- 8 push fasteners
- 3 nuts with 10mm socket
- 1 nut with 14mm socket
- Trim the panel using the molded rectangle guide shown in the instructions.
2. Install Driver-Side Tube Spacer
- Attach spacer to driver-side frame rail using:
- 1x M14 bolt (#4)
- Larger spacer hole faces outward.
- A temporary bolt can help prevent spacer rotation during tightening.
3. Raise Hitch Into Position
- Hook driver side over frame lip.
- Rotate hitch upward into place.
- Secure with:
- 4x M14 bolts
- 4x conical-toothed washers
- Leave hardware loose initially.
4. Torque Hardware
- Tighten all M14 bolts to:
- 95.1 ft-lbs
Important Notes
- Some underbody panel trimming is required.
- Clean weld nuts before installation if debris is present.
- Use proper washer orientation (teeth toward hitch plate).
- Periodically re-check hitch hardware after installation.
