Both the Curt 17001 and Curt 17051 are Round Bar Weight Distribution systems, rated for 800 lbs tongue weight, and 8,000 lbs towing weight capacity.
The main difference will be the bars.
The Curt 17051 has more stiffer spring bars, for bigger loads
The Curt 17001 has softer spring bards, for lighter loads
