The Sierra MP28870 is a universal-style kill switch used on many Johnson/Evinrude outboards and replaces several older OEM part numbers.
It can work on some E-TEC models, but it is a simple 2-wire switch, so compatibility depends on your current wiring setup.
If your existing switch matches a 2-wire system or OEM part numbers like 585134, it should work. However, some 2007 E-TEC engines use a different configuration, so we recommend comparing the wiring or existing part number before ordering to ensure compatibility.
