As removal of the tow loops is required, as per the installation instructions of the Curt 11276, yes this could cause problems if they have not been removed. Even if it “feels tight,” insufficient thread engagement is a real failure risk over time.
Your best option is to go back to the shop/garage and request they reinstall the hitch properly, per the install instructions.
There are a couple quick checks you can do:
Look at how many threads are actually engaged (you want ~1–1.5× bolt diameter ≈ 12–18mm of thread)
See if the hitch is sitting flush or spaced out by the tow loop.
