Curt has released their CUR13652, a class 3 hitch featuring a 2" receiver that is specifically designed to fit the 2026 Toyota RAV4. This hitch offers reliable towing capability and is engineered for a perfect fit with the RAV4, ensuring strength and durability.
CURT does not specifically state whether the hands-free kick sensor remains functional with the #13652 hitch installed, so we can't guarantee that feature will operate exactly as it did from the factory. That said, there are reports indicating that on Toyota RAV4s equipped with a foot-activated liftgate, the sensor typically continues to work after a hitch is installed, but you'll usually need to kick your foot slightly to the left or right of the receiver tube rather than directly underneath the center of the bumper. This has been the experience reported with similar CURT RAV4 hitches. It's also possible that that installer may be able to relocate the sensor so that it's not obstructed by the hitch once installed.
