This would not fit in a shorter box as it is generally recommended that truck beds shorter than 8', but longer than 5.5', use a 5th wheel hitch with a slider. The CURT A25 5th wheel hitch is specifically designed for select model GM/Chevrolet trucks with 8' beds, to avoid turning issues and potential damage.
